Maya DeNofio
Pessimist, Optimist, Designer
I am a senior at Kutztown University of Pennsylvania graduating in May 2019 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Communication Design with a concentration in Graphic Design.
I have had the opportunity to collaborate with the Artistic Director and Executive Director of the Chester Children’s Chorus to design a CD cover and booklet that perfectly captured the message of the children's chorus. During this process, I presented design options, completed revisions as requested, communicated via email and phone and helped see through to the final production.

For the past six years, I have worked as a Counselor/Program Assistant at the Chester Children’s Chorus. I escorted children between the ages 8–13 around Swarthmore College campus to their activities and assisted the art teacher in showing the children how to draw some of their favorite animated characters.

Kutztown University also gave me the chance to volunteer at the local YMCA Haunted Hayride and work with a team of fellow designers at an event called Designathon. During this 24-hour non-stop design marathon, our team designed and presented logo and brochures for an area non-profit.

Through my education I have been taught me many skills in Adobe Suite especially Adobe Illustrator InDesign and Photoshop, that will help in my future endeavors in design. My classes enabled me to delve deeper into interactive design as well as the unique printing processes.
